BIOGRAPHY
Dr. James Alton Bynum attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX where he graduated with honors. He remained in Galveston to complete his orthopedic surgery residency. He then completed an additional year of sports medicine and arthroscopy training at an accredited fellowship in Plano, TX in 2008. He has published numerous scientific papers in renowned orthopedic journals, reviewed articles for publication in the Journal of Arthroscopy, and has lectured both students and physicians on various sports medicine and arthroscopy topics. He has covered both local high school football and professional baseball teams.
Dr. Bynum and his wife, Veronica live in Fort Myers with their 3 sons. His hobbies include fishing, boating, hunting, and cooking.
